Larache, MOROCCO: WITH AFP STORY Souad Attifi (L), 38, who was condemned to death in 1995 for killing her two daughters, and imprisoned in Larache, 200 km north of Rabat, looks out from her cell 27 February 2007. President of the Moroccan human rights council (CCDH), Driss Benzekri said 01 March 2007 that he hoped Morocco would abolish the death sentence and inscribe the abolishment in the constitution. Moroccan courts continue to give death sentences but the punishment has not been carried out since 1994 and several leaders including Justice Minister Mohamed Bouzoubaa, have stated their opinion that it should be abolished.
