NYCHA (Public Housing) Residents Say “NO” To Privatization.

NEW YORK, NY – MARCH 23: New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) residents, NYCHA workers and tenants’ rights advocates rally at 90 Centre Street in downtown Manhattan to publicly reject the “Blueprint for Change” plan which NYCHA residents have named “a privatization scheme” on March 23, 2021. Per the press release: The Blueprint is NYCHA’s plan to create a separate State Authority, distinct from NYCHA itself, to which NYCHA will lease its land and buildings using 99-year ground leases.
