Senator Feinstein says FISA audit underway despite Senate GOP probe

California Senator Dianne Feinstein says at a hearing with former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that the Senate Judiciary Committee would examine the FBI Crossfire Hurricane investigation into Russian election interference and ties to the Trump campaign but to be clear, President Donald Trump had long claimed the investigation of his campaign a witch hunt and a hoax demanded by allies by Joe Biden and others, his allies point to errors identified by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horwitz and FISA surveillance a former Trump campaign aide Carter Page but while Horwitz identified serious errors in handling of the FISA application, a broader FISA audit revealed many problems were unfortunately widespread which must be fixed and was already underway by the FBI, Congress and the FISA court itself.
