LOS ALAMOS, UNITED STATES: Firefighters with the Santa Fe Fire Department pull water hose into a burned out home in Los Alamos, New Mexico 11 May. An estimated 100 homes in Los Alamos were burned, and at least 18,000 residents in the area were forced to evacuate. The Los Alamos nuclear weapons is safe from the wildfires raging in the area, US officials said. The government said it would investigate how a fire deliberately set by the US Park service to clear brush a week ago came to threaten three towns and sparked a national alarm over nuclear safety.
