Cloisters and College Library', 1926. Eton College is a boarding independent school for boys in Eton, Berkshire, near Windsor, founded in 1440 by King Henry VI. College Library is a rare book and manuscript library of international importance. Established soon after the foundation of the college in 1440 , it houses rare books and manuscripts of immense cultural value, including a Gutenberg Bible and pages from the manuscript of Darwin's Origin of Species.
