A woman describes the money she spent during a vox pop about how the public is adapting to decimalisation on 'Decimal Day', saying, 'It was nice and easy to work out because it was one pound ten - ten new pence. And all I bought besides that was a loaf of bread for one and eleven, and that was... oh dear let me think... nine and a half new pence. So I had what looked like a farthing change, was a ha'penny'. On this day, the British pound sterling currency (£) changed to a system of 100 pennies in a pound from a system of pounds, shillings and pence. UK; 15th February 1971.
