France Returns Prehistoric Artefacts To Mongolia
PARIS, FRANCE - DECEMBER 8: Undram Chinbat, Member of Parliament, Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth of Mongolia (R) looks at an Oviraptor skeleton next to Amélie de Montchalin (2nd-R), Minister for Public Action and Accounts during a ceremony to return prehistoric cultural artefacts to the Mongolian authorities on December 8, 2025 in Paris, France. The fossils had been looted from the Gobi Desert before being confiscated by French customs during a seizure on February 16, 2015. For a century, Mongolia has been the victim of looting of its paleontological treasures, which are then sold by illegal trafficking networks. (Footage by Vincent Isore/IP3/Getty Images)
