Congressman McGovern says Cuba invokes demagogic politics as Trump administration policy not helping
Massachusetts Congressman Jim McGovern says in remarks during morning hour debate that while many viewed Cuba through a political lens as a topic politicians use to demagogue in US elections for political advantage, Cuba was an island of 10 million human beings like anyone else with families and hopes for a better future, whose government denied them fundamental human rights and failed to meet their basic needs, while the US government was not helping but actually made the lives of Cuban people worse.
