Palestinian child survivor to meet Cristiano Ronaldo
NABLUS, WEST BANK - MARCH 15: Five-year-old Palestinian Ahmed Dawabsha, the orphaned son of a Palestinian family killed last year in an arson attack by Israeli extremists, leaves Nablus for Spain, where he will meet Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo. Ahmad, along with his grandparents, would depart from Jordan’s Queen Alia International Airport en route for Spain on Tuesday night. In July of last year, extremist Israeli settlers torched the Dawabsheh family’s home in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Ahmad’s parents and his 18-month-old brother Ali were killed in the attack, which sent shockwaves across the Palestinian community and drew international condemnation.
