Assad regime opens fire on people protesting high cost of living in southern Syria

SUWAYDA, SYRIA - DECEMBER 4: Bashar al-Assad regime forces on Sunday, Dec. 4, opened fire on people protesting the high cost of living, corruption, poor living conditions and security in southern Syria. In the province of As-Suwayda, which has a predominantly Druze population in the south of Syria, the people held a protest against the regime. The group demanding the overthrow of the Assad regime tried to enter the governor's office by shouting slogans. Clashes broke out when the regime forces tried to disperse the protesters. While the protestors attacked the armored vehicles of the regime forces, the Assad forces opened fire on the protestors. According to local sources; at least four civilians were injured.
