NORTHRIDGE, CA. - AUGUST 16, 2014: The piece of 1000 year old tree used by Artist Jeff Weiss and Bonsai artist Robert Pressler to create a living facsimile of the bristlecone Bonsai called Prometheus at Kimura Nursery in Northridge on August 16, 2014. Pressler had to carve the tree to give it the correct shape. The creation commemorates the 50th anniversary of the cutting down of a 5000 year old bristlecone pine tree named Prometheus in the Great Basin National Park in Nevada.
