FRANCE - MARCH 28: Rail Speed world record attempt on the new East High Speed Railway In France On March 28, 2007 -Alstom, Reseau Ferre de France and the SNCF, which have been developing the new V150 TGV (High Speed Train) train, will be officially trying to break the world record of rail speed by reaching a 560km/h speed on the 3rd of April. To prepare for that date, attempts and tests are being held on the future East TGV railway, the LGV (Ligne a Grande Vitesse High Speed Railway Line), which will be put in operation on the 10th of June 2007.
