Hermann Goering and Sir Neville Henderson

(Original Caption) Prelude to a More Important Visit? Hainberg, Germany: Sir Neville Henderson (left), the British Ambassador to Germany, photographed with General Hermann Goering when they attended the historical play presented on the occasion of the festival of St. Hubert, patron saint of hunting. Possibly this visit was a prelude to the more important one soon to be paid Goering by Viscount Halifax, Lord President of the Council of the British Cabinet. Lord Halifax's visit is merely in answer to an invitation sent to him by Goering. It was learned, however that the hunting visit will be followed by one to Chancellor Hitler of Germany, at the latter's home at Berchtesgaden. Political import of the latter meeting is awaited with impatience by all of Europe.
