UNITED STATES - SEPTEMBER 17: Philippe Petit, who trod a spidery cable 1,350 feet above the ground beteen the towers of the World Trade Center in 1974, quaffed a glass of bubbly before beginning a less hazardous walk today between the north and south wings of the Museum of the City of New York. The libation saluted feats of derring-do performed by such fabled personalities as Harry Houdini, Shipwreck Kelly and Nelly Bly, among many who astounded New Yorkers during the century.
