Bomb And Flowers To Represent People Killed In Gaza
Oxfam, who estimate that 7,000 people will be killed or injured in Gaza during the UK Parliament recess, today placed a16-foot replica of a Mark 84 2,000-pound bomb at Old Palace Yard, opposite the Houses of Parliament alongside many thousands of red gerberas and yellow roses to symbolise both the number of people they estimate will be killed in Gaza by the Israeli military, and the Israeli hostages still in captivity on 30th July 2024 in London, United Kingdom. A third of the flowers, the yellow roses, symbolise children. (photo by Mike Kemp/In Pictures via Getty Images)
