Rifleman Scraping Mud From His Trousers
(Original Caption) 6/8/45-Okinawa, Japan: Pfc. Terry Paul Moore, 22, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a browning automatic rifleman with the 7th Division gives proof of the fact that there is another enemy beside the Jap to cope with on this Pacific Island. Pfc. Moore takes time out from an all night bitter battle on Yonabaru, on the island's East Side, to scrape the mud from his trousers. All night the thick, oozy mud dripped from his clothing and dried hard and fast. (Original Caption)
