Deutsche Bahn Offers Job Training For Refugees
BERLIN, GERMANY - FEBRUARY 17: Motasem Alsolh (C), 36, and Monaf Altaha, 21, both of Syria, overhaul the electric current coupling device of an S-Bahn commuter train at the Adlershof repair and maintenance facility of German state railways Deutsche Bahn on February 17, 2017 in Berlin, Germany. The two men are taking part in the "Chance plus for refugees" program by Deutsche Bahn, in which the company is currently training approximately 120 participants nationwide in both German language classes and fields including electronics and mechatronics. Over one million refugeees and migrants arrived in Germany in 2015-2016 and Germany has launched a wide array of both public and private initiatives to further the integration of the newcomers. Authorities have however also stepped up efforts to deport those whose requests for asylum have been denied. (Photo by Sean Gallup/Getty Images)
