Senator Thune says Medicaid not on sound footing as Democrats continue to expand the program
Senate Republican Leader John Thune of South Dakota says in remarks that Democrats continue to melt down over the reconciliation bill Republicans are getting ready to consider and their statements continue to be heavy on hysteria and short on facts, particularly on the subject of the bill's Medicaid provisions, claiming that to hear Democrats talk you would think Republicans were getting ready to rip Medicaid from the hands of needy children and pregnant women when nothing could be further from the truth.
