Japan's New AI-Based Robot Interacts With Customers

TOKYO, JAPAN – NOV. 17: Japan's leading artificial intelligence (AI) developer UBIC and machine maker Vstone joined hands and on Tuesday November 17 unveiled the country's yet another new mini robot which the producers say can interact with customers at shop counters or supply wide range of information it remembers to the users. The 28-centimeter, table-sized robot is named Kibiro from a Japanese word "kibi (subtlety)," as it can learn to try to react better from past experiences, officials of the vendors said. Applications of the robot can be sought in such industries as retail sales, tourism and even legal and medical services, they added.
