Kayak Fisherman Battles Hammerhead Shark

California man Mark McCracken was out fishing near Santa Barbara on September 19 when an aggressive hammerhead shark began attacking his kayak. Describing the incident on https://instagram.com/p/73t_-Pqf_E/ Instagram , McCracken said he struck the shark up to 20 times with his paddle before it gave him enough space to head towards shore. Despite losing the battle, McCracken said the shark continued to tail the kayak and, even after he had reached land, the shark stalked him, swimming in roughly three feet of water near the shoreline.
