Aliens Travel Permit
An Aliens' Travel Permit from Tibet in March 1989, Tsetang, Autonomous Region of Tibet, China - 30th March 1989. Aliens Travel Permits were issued to travellers who wanted to visit restricted areas in China. The places to be visited need to be listed on the permit and personal details are included such as passport number and travelling companion if there is one. This permit was given to Polly Ravenscroft, accompanied by Richard Manning when they were travelling in Tibet during March 1989 and lists some of the places they visited after they were expelled from Lhasa.
