ODESA, UKRAINE - MAY 15: Workers manufacture air defense systems ‘Sky Shut’ in a workshop on May 15, 2024 in Odesa, Ukraine. The Ukrainian Defense Forces of the South have been repelling Russian drone attacks for almost six months using the Sky Shut system. It was developed by Odesa engineers. The system has passed many tests and already four modernizations. Currently, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have 38 Sky Shut systems in service. Due to regular shelling by Russian forces, Ukraine urgently needs to strengthen air defense.
