Southern ostriches dustbathing - stock video
Southern ostriches (Struthio camelus australis) taking a dust bath. This subspecies of ostrich is found throughout much of southern Africa. Dust baths help to remove parasites and excess oils from the feathers. Female ostriches are mainly brown while the males are black. Photographed in the Auob riverbed of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Southern Africa.
