EastEnders actor says Prince of Wales has 'invitation' to visit Queen Vic

Rudolph Walker, who plays Patrick Trueman in EastEnders, said the Prince of Wales had an invitation to visit the Old Vic, as he collected a CBE from the prince. Mr Walker was appointed a CBE in the New Year Honours, and collected his award at an investiture at St James's Palace. He said the Prince had referred to Coronation Street during the ceremony, and had corrected him: "Of course, I said 'no, no, no, no, you're talking about the opposition now'." Felicia Kwaku, who was appointed an OBE for her work championing black and minority ethnic NHS staff, said she dedicated her award to her nursing colleagues. She said she felt a mixture of "happiness as well as some sadness as well" following the Covid-19 pandemic.
