Olympic canoeist Etienne Stott found guilty of public order offence

Olympic gold medal-winning canoeist Etienne Stott has been found guilty of a public order offence after taking part in Extinction Rebellion protests last year. Stott speaks passionately after his conviction, saying progress on climate change policy is still 'far too slow'. He calls the political situation a 'scandal' and urges others to join in with Extinction Rebellion's cause, saying it is 'one of the most responsible things you can do'. He was handed a conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £300 at City of London Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
