NEW YORK, NY – JULY 05, 2017: Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) organized a rally titled ‘Emergency Rally Against Trumpcare’. The protestors gathered outside the NYC GOP (Manhattan Republican Party, 122 E 83rd St, New York, NY 10028) followed by a march to the 5th Avenue Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan. Via Facebook Events DSA claims the “Trump and Congressional Republicans had eight years to come up with a health care plan. Instead they are planning to strip more than twenty million people of their health insurance, leaving us with lousier coverage at higher cost--all to finance tax goodies for the wealthy.” The group also demands Medicare for all individuals and no tax cuts for the wealthy few.
