Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary
Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and his wife Princess Mary began the first leg of their Australian tour on Sunday, visiting the sculpture by the sea exhibition at Bondi Beach.Several hundred people welcomed the royal couple who first met in Sydney during the 2000 Olympic Games. The couple were without their four children at their first public engagement. Mary confided to onlookers that her ten month-old twins, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, were sleeping off their long flight. Their older children, Prince Christian, 6, and Princess Isabella, 4, did not accompany them to Australia. Princess Mary and her husband will visit Canberra and Melbourne over the next six days, before making a private family trip to Hobart, Tasmania, where she was born.
