Picture shows a winding boardwalk hiking trail in the middle of heaths, trees and moorland in the High Fens, a plateau region located in the east of Belgium and west of Germany, close to Malmedy and Monschau, in the Liege Province. It is protected as a nature reserve since 1957 and part of the larger High Fens - Eifel Nature Park, a cross-border ecological area established in 1971, consisting mainly of raised bogs, moorland and forests. The boardwalk is located in the Fagne des Deux-Séries, a fen located in the south-east of the park.
