This is the Italian Pyramid or Shield Mausoleum this is a mausoleum ordered build By Francisco Franco in 1937 and Built by the italian Architect Pietro Giovanni Bergaminio it was ready in 1939 for 384 Italians that died on the Santander Battle the Spanish Civil war, but they died in different parts of the area of Santander and Cantabria and were brought here to this resting place, today the rests of the Italians are not longer in this place resting, the Italian government brought them back to Italy, in the meantime the Italian Pyramid, rests on a hill south of the border of Cantabria, in the side of Burgos. The M on the Pyramid was though to be an M for Benito Mussolini, but studies suggest is the first letter of Moritorio that means cemetery in Italian. Hu
