City of London Attractions: Millbank River Bus to London Bridge - stock photo

A sunny, moody blue sky day and looking downstream from Millbank, one has a spectacular silhouetted view of the glassy rippled River Thames, South Bank and the Vauxhall Bridge skyline. Included in that skyline (from left to right) the familiar landmarks of The M15 building, Riverside apartments, Saint Georges Wharf Tower, and in the distant horizon (far right of picture) the newly constructed American Embassy. In the foreground the pebbles, silt and sand of the north bank. The Mill Bank commercial wharf is located on the north embankment of the River Thames, directly across the road from The Tate public art gallery. The River bus brings commuters to and from London Bridge along the River Thames. At Mill Bank river commuters can view the art exhibits at the Tate Gallery (not to be mistaken for the Tate Modern which is on the south bank of the River Thames opposite the Millennium Bridge, London, England, United Kingdom).
