The Macula Densa (part of the distal convoluted tubule composed of specialized, densely packed cells with prominent nuclei) is just opposite to the attachment of the Glomerulus to the Bowman's Capsule wall. Bowman's Capsule is also called the Glomerular Capsule. The BRUSH BORDER (Microvilli) is represented by the darker stained areas on the apical parts of the cells in contact with the lumen in the proximal convoluted tubules (lighter tubules).
