Zimbabwe's Environment Minister Oppah Muchinguri holds a press conference on July 31, 2015 in Harare, where she appealled to US authorities to extradite a US dentist and trophy hunter to face charges after killing Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe, whose death triggered worldwide outrage. The dentist, Walter Palmer, allegedly paid 50,000 USD for the hunt earlier this month in which he shot the lion with a powerful bow and arrow at night, close to Hwange national park in the west of Zimbabwe. Cecil was a popular tourist attraction at the park and was also wearing a tracking collar as part of a University of Oxford research project.
