Migratory Farm Workers In Back Of Truck

(Original Caption) 8/1/1940-Washington, D.C.- A truckload of migratory farm workers, typical of the hundreds who start from Florida in the early spring and follow the crops north, sometimes as far as Maine. This group has just completed a job in North Carolina and is headed to New Jersey to pick potatoes, they hope. In September, the "Okies" of the East return to Florida to live on what they have earned, until next spring, when they begin the crop trek north all over again.
