Officers Making Miniature Warships and Maps
(Original Caption) War school at Fort Andrews, Boston, Massachusetts...Officers from all forts of the Atlantic Coast, studying the war map of forts in Boston Harbor. The map shows all lights, forts, mainlands and islands, in fact every detail in the Harbor and where other warships could go. An officer on the side places miniature battleships representing a hostile fleet on the map and moves them around as if in actual warfare, while the officers plan defensive campaigns. The school is in charge of Major William Chamberlain, U.S.A., Fort Andrews, Boston, Massachusetts. Photo shows making warships and maps for the officers.
