This photograph is an exhibit showing the electric chair nicknamed "Old Sparky" which stands at the Texas Prison Museum in Huntsville,Texas 07 December 2002. The chair, in service from 1924 through 1964, was used to execute 361 prisoners. The Texas Prison Museum features numerous exhibits detailing the history of the Texas prison system. Created in 1989, the non-profit charitable corporation, features exhibits from the point of view of the inmates as well as the men and women who worked within the prison walls.
