Newseum has been purchased by Johns Hopkins
WASHINGTON, DC - JANUARY 31:
The Newseum's Inside Todays FBI includes artifacts from the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, the Unabombers cabin, engine parts and landing gear from United Airlines Flight 175, which crashed into the World Trade Center South Tower on Sept. 11, 2001; and the shoes worn by shoe bomber Richard Reid in an attempt to blow up an American Airlines flight in December 2001, seen January 31, 2019 in Washington, DC. Johns Hopkins University bought the landmark building for $372.5 million. The Freedom Forum the private foundation that created the Newseum and that is its primary funder said the museum will remain open at 555 Pennsylvania Ave. NW for the rest of the year.
