Hell for African migrants

Summer 2013, 260 African migrants left the North of Libya to join the Italian island of Lampedusa. They are hundreds each year to cross the Mediterranean to reach the European El Dorado, and flee the war and despair. For 20 years, 20 000 migrants have died in shipwrecks. This same summer 2013, 360 African died at 1 km of the Italian coast. (Photo by Tony Comiti/Corbis via Getty Images)
