Spring 1978, workers of the People's commune (renmin gongshe) constructing the Dazhihe river excavation project in Nanhui Prefecture. Nanhui Prefecture is now a part of Pudong New Area and Dazhihe river is a canal connecting the Huangpu River to the East China Sea.
