KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, UNITED STATES: US space shuttle Discovery crewmembers are seated in their launch positions 09 October on the shuttle's middeck at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, during a terminal countdown demonstration test. Discovery's seven-member crew will be launched into space 29 October to conduct a variety of science experiments in the pressurized SPACEHAB module and deployment and retrieval of the Spartan free-flyer payload.
