Rally In Favor Of Universal Basic Income

The Universal Basic Income (UBI) Pilot Plan is one of the projects that the Department of the Presidency will deploy during this mandate. In the Catalan Pilot Plan, some 5,000 people will receive the RBU: 2,500 will be randomly selected from all households in Catalonia and the remaining 2,500 will correspond to the population of two municipalities. During the two years of the Pilot Plan, participants will receive a monthly payment of 800 euros per adult and 300 euros per child under 18 years of age. The rally has taken place after the Parliament has approved the Budget of the Generalitat of 2023 with the votes in favor of ERC, PSC and the comuns and the vote against Junts, CUP, PP and Cs, after months of negotiations between the groups.
