Carpigiani Ice-Cream Museum and Gelataria
BOLOGNA, ITALY - MARCH 28: A server prepares a take-away selection of freshly-made Italian gelato ice-cream at the Carpigiani company's on-site gelateria on March 28, 2017 in Bologna, Italy. Italian brothers Bruto and Poerio Carlo Carpigiani founded the company in 1944 to become the worldwide leader in the production of ice cream machinery, making Italian-style gelato and soft ice cream. In September 2012 Carpigiani inaugurated the Gelato Museum "dedicated to the understanding and study of the history, culture, and technology of gelato and the expertise of the innovators who drove its evolution over the centuries". Visitors to the museum can also taste up to 14 flavors of gelato made fresh every day at the gelateria. (Photo by David Silverman/Getty Images)
