(Original Caption) 3/21/1968-San Francisco, CA- Sun-worshipping Hippies' clothing was scantier than police officials' notice in Golden Gate Park as the rites of Spring brought out the long-haired Haight-Ashbury habitues. Less official observers among the 2,000 Hippies & others who gathered to celebrate the start of Spring said at least 50 men & women shed their clothes. One of the 50, artistically inclined, felt better dressed wearing a psychedelic design rather than a bra.
