Ringing studies at Eymir Bird Ringing Station end in Turkiye's Ankara
ANKARA, TURKIYE - APRIL 26: Researchers check the area to detect bird mobility and take care of the birds as the ringing activities carried out in the spring season at the Eymir Bird Ringing Station which is on the migration route of birds, have ended in Ankara, Turkiye on April 26, 2024. Since the beginning of the migration season, 818 birds of 51 different species have been ringed in the ringing studies carried out at the station in cooperation with Ankara University (AU), Middle East Technical University (METU), General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks (DKMP) and with the support of the Ornithological Society of the Middle East (OSME). The studies carried out at the station provide important contributions to scientists in terms of determining the migration routes, feeding, breeding, age tracking and behavioral patterns of birds during migration.
