New Zealand Government Gives Update On Coronavirus Response Measures

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has lifted New Zealand's COVID-19 alert level to three and will go to alert level four in 48 hours as the government works to stop the spread of COVID-19. With community transmission now a possibility in New Zealand, the Prime Minister has said staying at home is essential. All non-essential businesses must close in 48 hours, including bars, restaurants, cinemas, playgrounds while all indoor and outdoor events are banned. Essential services will remain open.
