She is depicted as a half-figure, turned three-quarters to the left, looking at the viewer. She holds a fan in the left hand, which is crossed over the right. She wears ribbons on the curly-twisted hair, a large pearl on the ear, a black robe with short sleeves, a wide lace collar with bow that closes around the shoulders and lace cuffs with ribbons. Pearls hang from the neck and the left wrist. Signed next to the shoulder. On the back of the panel a label with Cornelia Schilperoot (sic!) Huysvrouw of Joannes Heydanus.
