People Examining Train Wreckage

(Original Caption) Nearly twenty deaths and injuries to 150 other persons was the toll of the wreck and fire of the French boat express train which, sound from Paris for Boulogne and Calxias, left the rials at at Amiens while traveling at 60 miles an hour and inthe crash took fire, as a result of the gas tanks for lighting the cars exploding. The train was carrying third class passengers for the most part, and the flimsily constructed cars went up in a roar of flame that prevented rescuers from siding those pinned in the wreck and drowned out the cries of the doomed victims. The photo shows the burned out cars at the scene of the wreck.
