Meningococcus

Meningococcus or meningococcal disease or Neisseria meningitidis, is a bacteria involved in meningitis. These bacteria are the cause of mild pharyngitis and only one person in approximately 400 becomes the victim of a serious meningococcal infection, most often in the form of acute purulent meningitis.
