A man walks into the post office in Walden, Colorado on March 27, 2023. - Walden is the most populous town in the sparsely populated Jackson County. The county has become a focal point in Colorado after Colorado voters passed Proposition 114 in 2020 requiring Colorado Parks and Wildlife to reintroduce gray wolves to designated lands on the western side of the Continental Divide no later than December 31, 2023. Wolves began wandering into Colorado from the neighboring state of Wyoming in 2019 and have put ranchers on edge, as well as presented challenges to the outcome of the reintroduction program.
