Monroe, age 36 was found dead by her housekeeper, Eunice Murray, on 05 August 1962. Her death was ruled as an overdose of the sleeping pill Nembutal. On 08 August 1962, Monroe was interred in the crypt at the Corridor of Memories, at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery, Lee Strasberg delivered the eulogy.
