In this photograph taken on March 14, 2012, a Cuban doctor (L) guides East Timorese medical interns while a Filipino doctor (R) attends to five year old Josualdo Maria afflicted with dengue at Dili's National Hospital where a recent outbreak of dengue claimed 11 lives. Among the dengue victims were seven children and cases of malnutrition are prevalent in the country with a population of 1.1 million, according to hospital officials. A decade after independence East Timor is restive for change, voting Saturday in the second presidential polls as a free country and hoping that an energy-fuelled bonanza will lift this tiny Southeast Asian nation out of poverty and chronic instability.
